I decided to make a couple of modifications to start this one. So, to begin with, we simply set up the kingdom. I've had too many yaks run away from home during the winter time because of this. The first field that needs to be planted is wheat, and it should be set to priority 1 for all farmers to harvest as soon as it starts to sprout. ![]() ![]() This is what feeds your yaks, stuffs your mattresses, and even becomes your beer. Wheat is one of the essential items you need to grow at first. They aren't as pretty as some of the wood items, but hey, gnomes can't be choosy. Once you hit stone you can continue to dig down and find more, so it's much easier to use as for tables and chairs. It's also time consuming to get more wood at times, and in winter, once you chop down a tree, it will not grow again until spring. ![]() Trees have to regrow after you cut them down, and unless you create a grove or manually plant them, they won't grow. It's also more limited in supply than stone. Almost all furniture, torches, weapons, doors, etc. Wood is one of those things that is used in way too much. A distillery takes 8 planks for the two barrels and either 5 planks or 5 stone blocks for the table. However, it is better to have a distillery up and running making bear from wheat fields on a pretty constant basis. They are expensive to make, costing four planks and four stone blocks, but are good to have in case you really need it. Get a brewery up and running, but have a well just in caseĪ well is a stop gap measure more than anything else, but it is always a good idea to have one. You can also make the chair from stone if you wish, but you'll need a stonecutter and stonemason up as well) To be able to produce these, you'll have to have a carpenter's workshop (10 planks for the chair and workbench and 2 stone for the chisel. Buckets allow quicker pickup and delivery of all drink products, including bear, wine, tea and milk. This is especially good for keeping golems from popping up at random, since they form from any dirt, clay or stone that is not in a storage area. Having a single wheelbarrow will make picking up all the dirt, rock, clay, wood, fruit, etc much faster than one piece at a time. The wheelbarrow should be one of the first luxuries you build, before beds even. However, a wall is an essential part of your kingdom's survival. Problem is, unless you completely wall yourself off from everything in the world, you still have to worry about goblins at your gate. It's amazing just how difficult this game can be, but a few ideas help make it much simpler.Įven a dirt wall is enough to make your gnomes feel a little safer. I've been playing Gnomoria for a few months now, and I have had to learn what it takes to make it through the first winter in this kingdom building sim. They pushed their way out of the halls of their former home, nine gnomes strong and marched in song into the sunset. The gnomes shouted with glee as they raided the storeroom, gathering bags of seed, crates of food and supplies, barrels of wine and even a few yaks and straw to feed them. Go make your own bitchy kingdom if that will make you happy and shut you up. "We're tired of your rule! We want our own lands! We want our own rules! We want to make our own Kingdom!"
